Mindfulness Based Somatic Therapy

What to Expect in a Session

Mindfulness Based Somatic Therapy might be just what you’re looking for if you’re ready to explore techniques that go beyond traditional talk therapy. This approach is perfect for those interested in integrating body awareness, breath work, sound, movement, and mindful observation of your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. If you feel stuck in certain patterns and are eager to deepen your self-knowledge and self-compassion we can work together to discover creative solutions.

Voice work can play a central role in this process, if you’re open to it. Voice isn’t just about the sound we hear when we speak, but also about identity and expression. By connecting with your breath through voice work, you can relieve anxiety, ground yourself in difficult emotions, and reconnect with the more expressive parts of yourself that may have been dimmed. Let’s embark on this journey to reclaim your voice and authenticity!

Trauma-Informed Therapy

A trauma-informed approach is essential for anyone looking to heal and grow, especially if you’ve experienced difficult situations in your life. It will allow you to connect with yourself and others, focusing on helping you develop a regulated nervous system which is crucial for feeling safe and present in your body.

By cultivating compassion, you’ll also begin to feel embodied and responsive to your surroundings. This not only enhances your ability to express yourself authentically while fostering deeper connections with those around you. It’s all about nurturing a space where you can explore your emotions and experiences with understanding and support.

Work with Presence

Regaining presence is a transformative step toward resolving relational, developmental, and attachment trauma. When you are able to connect to and experience the world around you, you start to become comfortable with being seen and heard—allowing that same openness for others, too. As you open to yourself, you create an inviting space that encourages others to do the same. Together, we’ll work with resourcing and grounding when you begin to feel anxious or detached, when you feel unsure. And we’ll work on developing and maintaining healthy boundaries, which are vital for nurturing your relationships.
