Voice and Therapy
What is it? What does it look like?
What is it?
Voice and therapy go hand in hand, especially for those of you seeking personal transformation or navigating life’s transitions. If you’ve experienced abuse or abandonment, or if you’re grappling with PTSD, it can be tough to express your true self and find your voice. This is where the power of voice work in therapy comes into play. It allows you to connect with your body, breath, and sound, creating a safe space for healing and awareness. Together, we can explore how to breathe through difficult feelings, establish healthy boundaries, and ultimately speak your truth. By releasing pent-up energy stored in your tissues and channeling it through your voice, you can find a sense of ease and presence that is incredibly healing. Let’s embark on this journey to help you embody your whole self and express your unique message.
What will we do?
During our sessions, we’ll explore sound, mindfulness, meditation, and gentle, supported movement as transformative tools to help you connect with and navigate your difficult emotions, outdated beliefs, and those parts of yourself that are challenging to embrace. Together, we’ll work on fostering a sense of wholeness, allowing you to express your truth with greater ease. This process can be incredibly comforting for your nervous system, even when we delve into tough topics, providing a pathway to regulate feelings that often lead to overwhelm and anxiety. By engaging with your voice, you’ll learn to connect with emotions that might feel confusing or overwhelming, creating a safe space for expression and healing. Ultimately, this journey will empower you to communicate your feelings and experiences more effectively, paving the way for deeper connections with yourself and others.
